What are the differences between trampoline parks and traditional amusement parks?

May 06, 2026

Trampoline parks differ from traditional amusement parks in terms of event type, experience style, target audience, space design, etc.:

1.Activity Type and Experience Method
Trampoline Parks: Focusing on dynamic activities such as jumping, tumbling and aerial techniques, the park offers highly interactive attractions such as free jumping, dodgeball, basketball shooting (combined with trampolining) and professional trampoline performance. The experience emphasizes the challenges of physical control, power release and aerial skills.
Traditional Amusement Parks: Mainly provide mechanical rides such as roller coasters, carousels and Ferris, relying on these machines for thrills or leisure experiences. Some amusement parks may include static or visually appealing elements, such as performance and subject areas.

2.Target audience and participation
Trampoline Parks: Suitable for all ages, but especially popular with teenagers, with an emphasis on active and physical activity. At family events, parents and children often experience simple rides together.
Traditional amusement parks: More attractions are available, but mechanical rides may be limited by height, age or health conditions (e.g., roller coasters). Some areas (such as children's) are aimed at younger children, and the overall experience tends to favour a passive approach.

3.Spatial Design and Safety
Trampoline Park: The space consists mainly of an open-air trampoline areas, complete with cushions and safety nets. The design emphasizes anti-skid performance, buffering and dynamic route planning. Non-slip socks are a must and require professional guidance in some areas.
Traditional Amusement Park: Amusement park spaces revolve around rides, taking into queuing areas, viewing angles and emergency evacuation routes. Safety depends on equipment maintenance, height restrictions and safety harnesses.

4.Social and Interactive Modes
Trampoline Park: Encourage teamwork or competition (such as dodgeball), have strong social attributes and are suitable for team activities or gatherings with friends.
Traditional Amusement Park: Social scenes revolve around the device experience (such as riding a rollercoaster together) or watching a show; interactions are relatively dispersed.

5. Health and body Impacts
Trampoline Park: High-intensity aerobic exercise that strengthens core muscles, balance and coordination, leading to noticeable short-term fatigue.
Traditional amusement parks: Physical exertion varies according to attraction, mechanical facilities mainly provide sensory stimulation, and some static amusement parks (such as Ferris wheel) require little physical activity.
